9. Specialized Coatings
|
Silitop (61212)
Siltop is a premium quality exterior masonry paint based on silicone polymers
which provide the coating with excellent dirt pick-up resistance and water
repelling properties, which is characterised by a distinctive water beading
effect. TERRACO Siltop is designed for application on highly profiled surfaces
such as Terracoat Textured Coatings where it significantly improves the dirt
pick up resistance of the coating. TERRACO Siltop has a matt finish and is
available in a standard range of 50 attractive colours.
Silprime
Silprime is a silane siloxane based penetrating primer for concrete surfaces.
It binds the substrate to give a solid base for decorative finishing coats.
When it penetrates into the substrate, it creates a hydrophobic zone into which
liquid water cannot enter, thereby preventing efflorescence from reaching the
surface and debonding the final finish
Terracot Sil
Terracoat Sil is a range of ready-mixed, acrylic/silicone resin bound, textured
coatings. It provides the unique combination of a quality architectural finish
with outstanding economy through ease of application, a low material
consumption rate and surface durability characterised by outstanding water
repellence. Terracoat Sil is guaranteed for 10 years against peeling and
fading. Terracoat Sil adheres to most exterior and interior surfaces including
plywood, chipboard, anti-rust primed steel, gypsum and dry wall. Priming is not
required. Terracoat Sil has been developed for use in areas of extreme climatic
conditions such as the tropics, where high humidity is prevalent. Overcoating
by silicone based or conventional topcoats when required is perfectly
acceptable.
Stonecoat
Stonecoat is a unique new product for unifying the colour of natural stone. The
special polymers used in Stonecoat are absorbed into the stone facade, helping
to strengthen it and substantially reducing moisture ingress. Stonecoat creates
a highly hydrophobic surface which repels water and water-borne pollutants
ensuring that the stone remains fresh and dirt-free. Stonecoat does not form a
film like ordinary paints and looks totally natural, transforming medium grade
stone into a top-quality high-grade finish.
Flexecon
TERRACO Flexecon is a one pack roof coating. It provides a highly flexible
waterproof coating with good weather resistance. It has long life flexibility
and is ideally suited for use in areas with extreme climatic conditions. It is
applied by brush or spray and after drying can be walked upon uncovered.
Ambient System
Terraco Ambient System comes in a variety of aesthetically pleasing finishes
with unique sound controlling properties. The system is used in a wide range of
settings such as theatres, opera houses, reception areas, hotel lobbies, class
rooms, lecture halls but is also suitable for domestic applications. The system
consists of Ambient Basecoat and Ambient Finishcoat These coatings are
specially formulated without the use of solvents, formaldehyde or any other
harmful chemicals. The Terraco Ambient System can be used in several ways to
achieve different acoustical effects according to the requirements for the
building in question
EIFS
External Insulation and Finish System (EIFS) is an energy efficient thermal
wrapping applied to the exterior surfaces of a building finished with a
long-life, decorative and protective coating system. Terraco's EIF System,
ecoTHERM, has been developed for use in both hot and cold climates and can
substantially reduce heating or cooling costs as well as allow for the use of
lower specification heating or cooling systems.. ecoTHERM can be used on both
old and new constructions. As it is applied as an exterior system, it is highly
suitable for upgrading older buildings to reduce operating costs while giving a
new attractive finish.
